- In 2026, Manthey marks three decades of successful company history since its founding by Olaf Manthey in 1996
- Today, around 350 employees drive forward the now internationally recognised company in four business divisions in motorsport and the automotive industry.
Meuspath. Founded in 1996 by Olaf Manthey as a small racing team under the name “Manthey Racing” and acquired in 2013 by brothers Martin and Nicolas Raeder as part of the merger with Raeder Motorsport and Porsche’s majority shareholding, the company has developed into an internationally renowned player in motorsport and the automotive sector. Today, with around 350 employees across four business divisions – Racing, Road Cars, Experience and Race Cars – as well as the brands “Raeder Motorsport” and “Equipment for Rennsport”, Manthey combines its many years of experience and versatile expertise.
“Since we took over the management in 2013, time has flown by. Looking back today, we are incredibly proud of what we have achieved together with our outstanding team. We started out as a small team in Meuspath and today we are known and successful worldwide in GT racing as well as in the areas of Road Cars, Race Cars and Experiences. None of this would be possible without a strong team. We now have more than 350 employees – something that still surprises us at times. Each and every individual has contributed to the development of the company and to where we are today. The same applies to our business partners and friends, who have accompanied us on this journey over the years and are an essential part of our success. What I value most is that new ideas keep emerging – ideas that we pursue together and through which we continue to reinvent ourselves every day. This sense of teamspirit and constant development is one of my greatest drivers and a key part of what motivates Manthey”, says Martin Raeder, Managing Director Manthey Racing GmbH.
Nicolas Raeder, Managing Director Manthey Racing GmbH, adds: “Martin and I have had the privilege of actively leading and shaping the company for the past 13 years, something we never take for granted. Even back in the Raeder Motorsport days, Manthey was already a benchmark for us. Looking back today, we can say that we have been living our dream from the very beginning – supported by the best possible conditions through our partnership with Porsche and an exceptional level of entrepreneurial freedom. For this, we would like to expressly thank Olaf Manthey and Porsche. We have used this freedom to continuously develop Manthey: on the sporting side through outstanding successes and strategically through strong products and the ability to distribute Manthey Kits via the manufacturer’s sales network. We have always kept our focus on the road ahead. There is no shortage of ideas, and we continue to open up new markets, as we are currently doing in the United States. What has shaped me most is the development of our team: from the early days in a small group, through various stages of our growth, to the organisation we are today, Manthey has continually evolved. With every step forward, structural demands increase, making it all the more important not to lose the personal touch. That is exactly where the essence of our success lies: enjoying what we do, our passion for performance and motorsport, and working together out of conviction. Today, we look back with great respect at what we have achieved over 30 years of Manthey – and with great anticipation for what lies ahead.”
Porsche and Manthey announced on 17 December 2013 that Dr. Ing. h. c. F. Porsche AG had acquired a 51 per cent majority stake in Manthey Racing GmbH. The collaboration, now in its 13th year, spans all four of Manthey's business divisions.
Thomas Laudenbach, Vice President Porsche Motorsport and Chairman of the Board of Manthey Racing GmbH, reflects on the partnership between the two companies: “I would like to warmly congratulate Manthey on its 30th anniversary and am very pleased with our strong collaboration. For me, Manthey is a prime example of how far and how successfully a racing team can develop. It is a long journey from organising individual motorsport events in the early days to becoming a development partner in the automotive industry. Manthey has taken that path. Company founder Olaf Manthey and everyone who contributed to this success can rightfully be proud.”
"30 years of Manthey – who would have thought? From the very beginning, our ambition was to be different from others and always strive to be better, while doing so in the most genuine and approachable way possible. The successes we have been able to celebrate over the past three decades are above all the result of the exceptional commitment, expertise and passion of our employees. Equally crucial are our partners from industry and business, many of whom have become close friends over the years“, explains Olaf Manthey. "That Manthey Racing would develop at this pace and on this scale was impossible to predict. This makes me all the more proud and deeply grateful that, with Martin and Nicki Raeder, we have found two shareholders and managing directors who, as successors, consistently carry forward the philosophy of Manthey together with our entire team. For me, there is no end to this journey in sight. Growth comes from ideas, courage and the willingness to pursue paths others may not yet believe in. I am convinced that we will continue along this successful path in the future. My sincere thanks go to everyone who has been part of this journey and continues to support us“, he adds.
To mark its 30th anniversary, Manthey enters a special year in 2026 that both honours its past and looks ahead to the future. The first on-track appearance of the anniversary year is taking place at the 24 hours of Daytona starting on January 24, 2026. There, the team will compete, among others, with a Grello Porsche. The iconic yellow-green livery will celebrate its tenth anniversary in September 2026. But it is not just the Grello making its debut at the 24 hours of Daytona: for the first time, a 911 GT3 RS with Manthey Kit will be on duty as the official safety car at this year's endurance classic.
Further content, announcements and insights into Manthey’s anniversary year will be shared over the course of 2026.
