The penultimate race of the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring (PETN) season, held as part of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS), saw five championship titles decided.

The 69th ADAC Westfalenfahrt was the fifth race of the season for the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring (PETN), in which a total of 27 participants competed in the classes Cup 2 and Cup 3. The 4-hour race as part of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS) started with a delay of 45 minutes after qualifying had already been postponed in the morning due to dense fog.

With the ADAC 24h Nürburgring Qualifiers, the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring (PETN) had two more races on the programme for the season as part of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS). For the first time, the two preparatory races for the Nürburgring 24 Hours counted as part of the NLS and were therefore also counted for the classifications in the PETN. 

The Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring (PETN) kicked off the new season on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife with a double-header as part of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS). The first two races each covered a distance of four hours on the 24.358-kilometre combination of the Nürburgring Grand Prix circuit and the Nordschleife.
