30 YEARS OF PASSION FOR MOTORSPORT, ENGINEERING AND PERFORMANCE WITHOUT COMPROMISE.

CHAPTER ONE. 1996-2009

1996

THE BEGINNING OF A SUCCESS STORY

Olaf Manthey founds Manthey Racing and lines up in the Porsche Supercup with his own team, marking the starting point of a performance-driven legacy.

911 GT3 MR (996) | THE FIRST "MR" Manthey Racing Road car

MANTHEY RACING'S SUCCESSFUL DEBUT IN LE MANS

From modification to transformation: In 1999, Manthey carries out its first full chassis conversion, turning a road-legal Porsche into a complete MR model.

Racing meets the road for the first time: a road-legal Porsche sports car is transformed into an MR model using a prototype vehicle.

The big leagues are calling – and Manthey is picking up. The Porsche 911 GT3 R (996) promptly wins its debut in the 24 Hours of Le Mans GT class.

2000

MOVING TO MEUSPATH AT THE NÜRBURGRING

The company moves from Rheinbreitbach to the industrial region of Meuspath, right next to the Nürburgring.

2005

250 MILES ON THE WAY TO RETIREMENT

The end of an era. Olaf Manthey ends his career with his 30th overall VLN victory in the DMV 250-Mile Race. To date, he is the most successful driver in VLN history.

2006-2009

FOUR CONSECUTIVE YEARS OVERALL WINNERS OF THE 24H OF NÜRBURGRING

The “Dicke” (the chunky one) dominates the Nürburgring 24 Hours. The yellow-green 911 GT3 RSR, the blueprint for the iconic “Grello”, achieves its first victory in 2006, followed by further triumphs in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

The first time I drove for Olaf Manthey was in 2003 in the VLN, with the 911 Turbo (996), the ‘Dicke’, which was still white at the time. I already knew Olaf through my father, as they had raced together in hill climb competition, and it was always something special for me to drive for him. He is a true figurehead and an absolute racer, and that’s something I’ve always admired. You could always feel that it wasn’t just passion; he was willing to take risks, investing a lot of his own heart and even private money to get the cars on the grid. Especially with the green-and-yellow car, you could sense how much know-how, conviction and dedication went into it. We had been chasing that first overall victory at the 24 Hours for a long time – we came close several times, finished third overall, and had our setbacks. Then in 2006, it finally came together. What followed was an incredible run, with more wins, including with the 997 and later again with the RSR. The competition kept getting stronger, but with the Porsche 911 GT3 and the entire team – from preparation and structure to Olaf, Roland Kussmaul and all the drivers involved – we were always the benchmark. For me, it was a defining period. I learned an incredible amount, celebrated major successes and truly enjoyed it. Driving for Olaf was and still is one of the highlights of my career." - Timo Bernhard, Porsche Brand Ambassador

CHAPTER TWO. 2010-2018

2011

THE INITIAL SPARK FOR THE MANTHEY RACING AND RAEDER MOTORSPORT MERGER

Overall victory for Raeder Motorsport with the Audi TT RS in the six-hour VLN race! Olaf Manthey is the first to congratulate. This marks the beginning of the bond leading to the merger.

2013

MERGER WITH RAEDER AUTOMOTIVE GMBH

PORSCHE AG BECOMES A SHAREHOLDER

LE MANS CLASS VICTORY FOR PORSCHE

One shared vision: Raeder Motorsport merges with Manthey Racing. Having been competitors on the Nordschleife, both teams shared a strong mutual respect for each other’s technical and sporting achievements.

"It was never just about a merger, but about a shared vision of motorsport and development. This step was crucial to the longterm development of Manthey and, at the same time, to securing the company’s future – a future shaped by trust and close cooperation that continues to this day." - Martin Raeder, Managing Director Manthey

Expanding the business: Porsche AG acquires a 51 per cent share. Since then, the two companies have extended their co-operation to many successful business areas.

"Porsche recognised in Manthey Racing more than racing success – they saw a partner with deep technical expertise and a clear mindset. Together, we expanded beyond the racetrack. What drives us is simple: it is the common passion to push limits and a shared understanding of performance." - Hartmut Kristen, former Director Motorsport at Porsche (2004-2014)

Back to racing: Manthey supports Porsche’s GT factory entries in the FIA World Endurance Championship and secures another class victory at Le Mans in its very first season with the 911 RSR.

2015

WEC TITLE IN PORSCHE FACTORY ENTRY

THE START OF A SUCCESSFUL CONCEPT

Together with Porsche, Manthey goes on to win all titles in the GTE Pro class of the World Endurance Championship.

With the first comprehensive development project for a race car conversion package, Manthey takes a decisive step in shaping its business division Race Cars. The journey begins with a development project based on the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (991.1), designed to bridge the performance gap between the GT3 Cup and the GT3 R – the 911 GT3 Cup MR. Combining enhanced aerodynamics, lightweight components as well as driving assists and suspension upgrades, has since become an internationally successful concept for numerous following development projects for both Cayman and 911 race car models at Manthey. It is designed to improve the driveability under real racing conditions – with a clear focus on improving performance for gentlemen drivers.

2016

‘GRELLO’ WINS ITS VLN DEBUT RACE

HOMOLOGATION KIT FOR THE CAYMAN GT4 CLUBSPORT

CAYMAN GT4 TROPHY BY MANTHEY RACING | ORGANISATION OF ITS OWN RACING SERIES

First race. First victory. Jörg Bergmeister and Patrick Pilet win “Grello’s” VLN debut on the Nürburgring Nordschleife in the 911 GT3 R, marking the birth of an icon in the “Green Hell”.

"For me personally, I think “Grello” is special because it is a visual statement of what we do at Manthey; it stands out amongst its competitors, and it has its very own name. Not many other cars have that. Whenever and wherever “Grello” races, it’s also usually capable of competing for wins." - Nicolas Raeder, Managing Director at Manthey

With the launch of the Cayman GT4 Clubsport (981), Porsche introduced its first track-only customer car. Initially, it was only eligible for trackday use, so Manthey developed a homologation kit that enabled the car to compete in GT4 racing series. With over 100 vehicles equipped worldwide, a new chapter in customer racing support has been opened.

"Looking back, this project was more than just a car. It was about building something that brings Clubsport cars onto the race track. Understanding the regulations and making the performance usable for the customer. We have learned a lot. It showed us that our role could go beyond running a race team and it set us on the path to developing upgrade kits, motorsport equipment and other products with our engineering expertise in the following years." - Jan-Helmut Brakhage, Director Race Cars at Manthey

Hungry for more: For the first time, Manthey creates its own racing series with the Cayman GT4 Trophy by Manthey Racing, which becomes a Porsche one-make series, the Porsche Endurance Trophy Nürburgring (PETN) in 2022.

2017

A NEW CHAPTER IN ROAD PERFORMANCE

Hitting the road: With the ultraviolet Porsche 911 GT3 RS (991.1), Manthey begins developing performance solutions for the road – laying the foundation for what would become the Manthey Kit for Porsche GT models.

2018

FASTEST LAP AT THE NÜRBURGRING IN AN MR MODEL

OPENING OF THE PORSCHE SERVICE CENTRE MEUSPATH

MANTHEY RACING'S 6TH 24H OF NÜRBURGRING TITLE

DOUBLE VICTORY IN LE MANS

Lars Kern’s 6m 40.33s in the Porsche GT2 RS on the Nordschleife rewrites the limits of road car performance and puts Manthey at the center of high-performance road car optimisation.

With the opening of the Porsche Service Centre Meuspath, Manthey creates the place where road cars, race-bred expertise, and customer experience cometogether, embarking on a new chapter beyond the racetrack.

Record winning performance - literally: With its sixth victory, the team from Meuspath is the most successful team to date in the iconic 24h endurance race at the Nürburgring.

A special gift for a special birthday: To mark the anniversary year “70 Years of Porsche Sports Cars,” the Porsche GT team secures a 1-2 in the GTE Pro class at Le Mans.

"What made 2018 so special was the extremely strong field of competitors in the GT class – I think there were 18 works cars on the grid. Added to that was our special livery featuring the Pink Pig. It was an iconic race, and winning it in that livery made it all the more special. For me personally, it was the greatest success of my career at that moment. Winning Le Mans is something very special for any driver. And given all the circumstances mentioned, it was of course even more special. What makes Manthey so strong is, above all, the preparation for such a big race. Everything is perfectly prepared and thought through from A to Z, and that is evident during the race, too. Manthey is definitely a benchmark in GT racing when it comes to preparation, quality and performance. This is particularly evident in a highpressure 24-hour race like Le Mans. I am convinced that this played a decisive role." - Laurens Vanthoor, Porsche Factory Driver

CHAPTER THREE. 2019-2026

2019

PORSCHE WINS ALL GT TITLES IN THE WEC

Double trouble: The Porsche GT team finishes the 2019 FIA WEC Super Season with maximum success by winning both the manufacturers’ championship and the drivers’ world championship (Michael Christensen and Kévin Estre).

2021

SEVENTH TITLE IN THE ‘GREEN HELL’

911 GT2 RS LAP RECORD FOR ROAD VEHICLES

LIMITED ANNIVERSARY MODEL

Anniversary highlight: Kévin Estre, Michael Christensen and Matteo Cairoli win the Nürburgring 24 Hours in Manthey’s anniversary year.

"Winning the 2021 Nürburgring 24 Hours was incredibly important to me and also very emotional, because we’d come so close to victory so many times before with the “Grello”. Somehow, there was always just one little thing missing. The 2021 race was difficult with the long red flag and the gruelling, unpredictable conditions, which were very tricky to manage both at the pit wall and in the car. I’m very proud that we managed it without any mistakes. For me personally, this victory means a great deal because the Nordschleife is simply very close to my heart. My relationship with Manthey began in 2015. That was when I drove my first race in the WEC with the RSR. Since then, I’ve always returned to race with the team, at least once a year, or often contested many races annually with the team in the RSR or the “Grello”. I’ve known many people on the team for a very long time and have grown older alongside them since 2015. We have achieved a great deal of success together. Manthey is simply a very professional team that has already secured victories in all championships and major races, and I am proud to be part of it. The team approaches every race with a keen eye for every detail, which often sets it apart from other teams and explains its great successes." Kévin Estre, Porsche Factory Driver

Need for speed: Lars Kern sets the fastest lap ever by a road-legal car on the Nürburgring Nordschleife in a Porsche 911 GT2 RS with Manthey Kit with an outstanding 6m 43.300s.

"At Manthey, there is an uncompromising focus on performance." - Lars Kern, Porsche Factory Driver

Built to celebrate: Porsche Motorsport and Manthey mark the company’s 25th anniversary with the 911 GT2 RS Clubsport 25, developed for track days and circuit racing and limited to 30 units.

2023

RETURN TO DTM | TRIPLE CHAMPIONS

PORSCHE TRACK EXPERIENCE

IN-HOUSE WHEEL PRODUCTION

Debut domination: Manthey makes its DTM debut as Manthey EMA secures the teams’ and manufacturers’ titles at the first attempt, along with the drivers’ championship with Thomas Preining.

"I was really impressed by the team’s preparation for their DTM debut season and their knowledge of what counts in DTM and how to succeed in sprint races. Thanks to this, we were able to deliver some truly great performances and ultimately win the title – a success that will forever be one of the highlights of my career. At Manthey, a commitment to perfection and attention to detail is shared by the engineers, mechanics and all other team members. Everybody gives their all at any time, and nobody leaves until the job is 100 per cent complete. As a driver, I really appreciate that, and it’s what makes the team stand out – the results speak for themselves." - Thomas Preining, Porsche Factory Driver

Following its takeover of the Porsche Racing Experience in 2017, Manthey has been the operator of the Porsche Track Experience since 2023 and is responsible for driving trainings at Europe’s racetracks. This forms the fourth pillar of the company.

Built from within: With the decision to bring wheel production in-house, Manthey takes another step towards full technical independence. Within just 15 weeks, a first prototype is developed – driven by motorsport experience, short decision paths and a clear focus on performance. Forged for strength, designed for precision and tailored to real racing conditions, the result is not a universal component, but a purpose-built solution. A reflection of Manthey’s approach: understanding, developing and controlling the components that make the difference.

2024

LE MANS TITLE IN THE NEW LMGT3 CLASS

DOUBLE VICTORY AT THE LMGT3 DEBUT IN WEC

DOUBLE VICTORY AT THE BATHURST 12 HOUR

911 GT3 RS Manthey Kit (992) | over 1,000 KG downforce

Competing under its own name and with EMA Motorsport, Manthey claims victory in the debut of the LMGT3 class at Le Mans, securing its fifth class victory in the event’s history.

"It’s a childhood dream come true. When I came here, I never dared to expect that I would win my first Le Mans, especially not at the age of 19. Thanks to the team and my teammates in particular, we delivered an almost perfect race. We didn’t make any mistakes, always made the right decision, stayed calm and didn’t get any penalties. We can be proud of that and we really set an example of how a 24-hour race should be driven. Many thanks to Manthey, Yasser and Richie! Manthey adapted instantly to the new LMGT3 era. From the first race, the level of preparation and execution was outstanding. I truly believe we set the benchmark – and the results prove it." - Morris Schuring, Porsche Factory Driver

Missed us? Manthey celebrates its successful WEC comeback after a year’s absence with the double world championship title in the new LMGT3 class.

Conquering down under: Manthey secures its first overall and Pro-Am victories on the Mount Panorama Circuit.

"Victory at the 12H Bathurst 2024 marked another milestone in our success story, proving our competitiveness beyond the European continent. Especially after the narrowly missed win in 2023, the triumph was a perfect start to the 2024 season, which was defined by the major endurance races." - Patrick Arkenau, Director Racing at Manthey

Kit Kit Hurray! Working closely with Porsche, Manthey elevates the GT flagship from Weissach, achieving over 1,000 kg of downforce at 285 km/h and setting new standards.

"Developing the Manthey Kit for the 911 GT3 RS was a special project. The strides we’ve made in shock absorber development, and the level of downforce, which has been further increased compared to the production car, make this car, in my view, the best road car currently available. What makes working with Manthey so special is the team: from my days with Olaf back in motorsport with „Grello” to today’s development work with Nicki and the entire development team. Together, we constantly strive to implement and apply motorsport ideas as quickly as possible. We set ourselves particularly high standards for this project. I was able to play my part, but for me, good development is characterised by the fact that no single individual is singled out, but rather the result is based on the combined efforts of the whole team. You could sense the potential right from the start of development. When we took it for a spin towards the end of development, that impression was confirmed and put a permanent grin on our faces! It’s always impressive to see how the car achieves cornering speeds on the fast sections of the Nordschleife that match those of a current Porsche Cup car. You can see this potential just by looking at it. You can see that every aspect has been refined to maximise performance. On the track, this is particularly evident in the medium-speed and fast sections. The car instils even greater confidence in the driver and encourages them to exploit their own potential and that of the car." - Jörg Bergmeister, Porsche Brand Ambassador

2025

DOUBLE GT CHAMPIONSHIP WIN IN ALMS

DTM TRIPLE CHAMPION

Victory in Le Mans

WEC CHAMPION

911 GT3 (992.2) MANTHEY KIT

Going east: Making its debut in the Asian Le Mans Series, Manthey achieves a 1-2 in the GT championship with its two 911 GT3 R entries.

Triple success: Manthey secures the DTM 2025 drivers’ championship, teams’ championship plus rookie of the year award.

"I have been a Porsche driver for a long time and as a young driver with this brand you always look up to Manthey and dream of becoming a part of the team. The 2025 DTM season will be unforgettable for me. Honestly, I could not have dreamed for more than racing together with Manthey and winning the DTM title. Behind the scenes Manthey is a team driven by engineering know-how and the desire for continuous improvement. We have a strong engineering group as well as highly skilled mechanics. This also gave me, as a driver, the chance to really grow and improve. This was our strength, and it’s also why we came out on top in many difficult situations in the 2025 season: We were always well prepared and kept on working tirelessly as one team before, during and after the events with a lot of passion." - Ayhancan Güven, Porsche Factory Driver

Manthey wins the iconic 24h race in Le Mans, celebrating a second consecutive victory in the LMGT3 class on the French track after a dominating season.

"Manthey has been with me for a long time through many stages of my career – from my first meeting with Olaf, when I immediately realised what an extraordinary person he is, through my first collaboration with the Raeder brothers, with Nicki as my engineer, right up to our most recent joint successes at Le Mans and in the WEC. The 2025 title was once again something very special: a year full of precision, passion and the Manthey spirit, which constantly pushes you to surpass yourself, has paid off. I was particularly delighted for Ryan and Riccardo – they deserve this success more than almost anyone else. Winning this title twice, ten years after my first time, is something very special for me. And at the same time, I know this: this team never rests on its laurels. No sooner have the celebrations ended than they’re already thinking about the next step – that’s exactly what makes Manthey so unique to me." - Richard Lietz, Porsche Factory Driver

Manthey 1st Phorm claims the 2025 FIA WEC LMGT3 championship, sealing its second consecutive title and defining the new LMGT3 era.

There’s a new Kit on the block: Developed over more than a year in close co-operation with Porsche, the Manthey Kit for the 911 GT3 (Type 992.2) elevates the balance between road and racetrack through refined aerodynamics, suspension and braking systems. The result is 540 kg of total downforce at 285 km/h – a new benchmark in stability and cornering performance.

"Today, we can look back on many successful years together, and I can no longer imagine being without Manthey as a partner. I am delighted with the excellent relationship I have with the Manthey team; my favourite business trips regularly take me to Meuspath. The pragmatism, straightforwardness and openness of everyone involved, combined with the friendly atmosphere, make working together a pleasure and help us to develop and implement joint projects. As a result, Manthey has now become an integral part of Porsche Motorsport on an emotional level; in the road car sector, a perfect symbiosis has emerged. Both parties benefit from each other and make their respective strengths available to their partner. The best example of this are the successful Manthey Kits for GT cars, which have now secured a firm place in the model hierarchy and give the product an additional boost throughout its lifecycle. The Manthey name is now firmly established among customers and is the go-to choice for those who primarily use their vehicles on the racetrack. Or who simply think it’s cool to own a GT with a Manthey Kit. I look forward to hopefully many more years with this fantastic team from the Eifel!" - Andreas Preuninger, Director GT-Models at Porsche

2026

FULL THROTTLE: IMSA 2026

NORDSCHLEIFE LAP TIMES³

Following its success in international endurance racing, Manthey takes the next step in 2026 and enters the IMSA Michelin Endurance Cup for the first time, one of North America’s most demanding racing series. Fielding a Porsche 911 GT3 R in both the GTD PRO and GTD classes, the team competes on some of the most important endurance stages across the Atlantic. While the Manthey 1st Phorm entry (#912) continues its success story of the 2025 FIA WEC season, the iconic “Grello” Porsche (#911) makes its US debut, bringing Manthey’s Nordschleife-proven performance to North America – and promptly secures a class victory at the 12 Hours of Sebring.

"Entering the American market has been a long-held ambition, as we have been following the series for many years and the US market is also of great importance for our road-going models. The deployment of our two Porsches in endurance races also provides an excellent platform for reaching Porsche dealers, Manthey customers and enthusiasts. Having always competed at the Nürburgring and, since 2023 and 2024 respectively, in the DTM and the WEC, the IMSA is the logical extension of our programme. I am looking forward to this new challenge for our team." - Nicolas Raeder, Managing Director at Manthey

In the course of a couple of minutes, Manthey and Porsche achieve three successful lap times on the Nordschleife. Jörg Bergmeister lapped the 20.832-kilometre circuit in 6m 45.389s, setting a fast lap time in the 911 GT3 RS (992.1) with Manthey Kit. Ayhancan Güven improves his lap time in the 911 GT3 (992.2) with Manthey Kit to 6m 50.863s shortly before Lars Kern set, at that time, a new lap record for electric cars with 6m 55.533s in the Taycan Turbo GT Manthey Kit.

What a journey it has been.

30 years of racing, engineering and continuous development have shaped what Manthey is today. From the first laps on the Nürburgring to record-setting performance on road and track, Manthey’s pursuit of perfection has reached far beyond motorsport, establishing its reputation worldwide. Every achievement has been the result of passion, precision and teamwork. None of this would have been possible without the people behind it: our employees, drivers, partners and fans. Your dedication, trust and commitment have been at the heart of Manthey from the very beginning. As we look ahead, one thing remains unchanged: the drive to push limits, to improve, and to move ever closer to perfection.

The next chapter has already begun.
